Lifeguard Are you responsible? Would you like to help save lives? Do you enjoy being out in the sun? Being a lifeguard at Ocean Breeze is a serious position and only those who are responsible should consider it. The number one priority of this job is guest safety. Guest interaction is a continuous part of this position requiring work in both the sun and the shade and standing for extended periods of time. Certification and training is conducted at Ocean Breeze for a small fee. |
Junior Lifeguard Camp Counselor Our Junior Lifeguard Camp focuses on teaching youth what it means to be a lifeguard! Counselors must love working with children, be considered highly responsible and dedicated to sharing their knowledge with patience and enthusiasm. Ideal candidates will be able to both perform and teach all lifeguard, CPR, and first aid skills in an engaging manner. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Current lifeguard certification is not required. Ocean Breeze Waterpark will train and certify you as a lifeguard. |
First Aid Attendant Providing excellent customer service and peace of mind to our guests are the primary objectives of this position. Minimum requirements are EMT certification and two years experience in the field. |
Park Maintenance Ensuring that pools and slides operate efficiently and safely is the goal of the maintenance department. Must be teachable and have a desire to expand technical skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Must understand preventive maintenance and be able to make small repairs effectively. The maintenance crew performs many different tasks involving the general upkeep of the park facilities. These tasks include: pool cleaning, water testing, general landscaping, pressure washing and other necessary park repairs. Technical schooling and certifications a plus. Pool experience and CPO a plus. |
Park Services Some people have a “cleaning bug.” If something is dirty, unorganized or messy – they have to fix it! Sound like you? We are looking for focused and detail oriented people to do one of the most crucial jobs at the Waterpark – maintaining the appearance of the facility and grounds. Tables, chairs, restrooms, walkways, windows, floors, and walls need to be cleaned and cleared throughout the day. Tubes, mats and life jackets need to be returned to their storage positions. Weeding and raking in targeted areas may be assigned. Trash collection is a primary responsibility. Special clean up situations are to be expected. This position is not glamorous. Employees should have high heat tolerance and be able to stand on their feet for the duration of their shift. You will be trained to be knowledgeable about the Waterpark because guest interaction is a part of the park services role. You do not need experience. Employees may apply at the age of 15 or older for this position. |
Food Service Everyone has to eat, right? Having a funnel cake, a juicy hamburger or a slice or pizza is part of the fun of coming to the Waterpark! Employees are needed to prepare and cook food, serve food, set up and breakdown catering, operate carts, and complete general cleaning and stocking. All of the positions are fast paced and require standing for long periods of time. These positions require employees that can provide superior customer service. Cashiering positions are also available. Experience not required but preferred.

Cabana Host/Poolside Server Guests that have “paid for shade” expect a superior level of customer service. Our hospitality team provides food and beverage service to these cabana and poolside guests. These servers are responsible for familiarization of exclusive menu items, taking orders accurately and delivering food and beverage items quickly and efficiently. Candidates should be ready for a challenge, love to work outdoors and be eager to give these guests 110%. Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to work as a team with food preparation staff. Must be 18 years of age or older. Previous serving experience preferred but not required. |
Bartender Pour, shake and serve behind the bar at Scallywags! Our pirate themed establishment needs mixologists that can prepare drink requests efficiently and accurately. Bartenders must provide excellent customer service, maintain the bar area and support the goals of the hospitality team that provides service to cabanas and poolside guests. Previous cashier experience is preferred. |
Admissions Cashier Identifying the needs of the customer in a quick, efficient and pleasant manner is the top priority. This experience sets the tone for the rest of the guests visit at Ocean Breeze Waterpark. Admissions cashiers need to be good listeners, have awareness of all current promotional offers and excellent cash handling skills so that the transaction can be fast, friendly and fun. Selling tickets and selling and redeeming season passes are the key responsibilities. Employees in this position work indoors in a very high paced and occasionally high stress environment. An ability to problem solve and patiently handle customer concerns is a plus. Applicants should be levelheaded, confident and approachable. Cashier experience preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. |
Gate Greeters “Hello! Welcome to Ocean Breeze Waterpark. Thanks for coming. It is a beautiful day! See you next week. Come back soon. Drive Safely!” Our gate greeters are the final entrance check point on the way into the park for our guests. This is where we complete a final verification of their tickets before their day of fun in the sun begins. Gate Greeters must be highly aware of who is coming in and going out, and very engaged and focused in their conversations with each guest. Guests have access to this staff from both outside and inside the park so employees in this role must be able to answer a broad variety of questions about the Waterpark. This gate staff also wishes guests farewell when they leave. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and eager to be ambassadors for the Waterpark. Prior knowledge of the Waterpark is a plus. |
Bag Checkers All bags that go in to the Waterpark are checked for items that are not allowed inside, so as to protect the general safety and comfort of our guests. The best candidates will be able to accomplish this in a quick and effective manner while being very comfortable enforcing Waterpark rules with a smile. Employees that can make this experience less uncomfortable for our guests are highly valued. Confidence, a good sense of humor and the ability to remain calm are skills that help in this position. Bag checkers work outside in the shade and must be able to stand for the duration of their shift. Applicants should be 18 years of age or older. |
Retail - Gift Shop/Candy Store Sending our customers home with memories of their visit, and ensuring that they have everything they need during their day, is the goal of the retail department. Multiple areas including our gift shop, locker rentals, candy store and inner tube rentals need employees that are approachable, outgoing and excited about suggestive selling. Merchandising and maintaining sales displays and cash handling are essential parts of each position. Sales experience is preferred but if you enjoy setting up displays, are not afraid to interact with customers and you have a positive attitude, join our retail sales team. |
Group Sales Team Member Do you have a strong commitment to customer service? Are you outgoing and very organized? The Group Sales department is responsible for booking groups on the phone and in person, following up with customers on reservation details, counting and wristbanding group members, accepting payments, checking on groups while they are enjoying the park, assisting with catering functions, supporting the efforts of the birthday hostesses and setting up and breaking down large group functions. Must be able to retain a working knowledge of packages and pricing. Sales experience preferred. Positive attitude and excellent speaking skills required. |
Birthday Party Hostess Parents expect their child’s birthday party at Ocean Breeze Waterpark to be fun and flawless! If you like working outside, celebrating birthdays and playing in the waterpark — this is the job for you. You will be responsible for making every element of the party fantastic: decorating, singing happy birthday, serving food and organizing games. A bubbly personality is a must. |
Mascot Our costumed character, Hugh Mongous is a core part of entertaining our guests and promoting the park. Our mascot is not a speaking character so each of your motions, from peeling an imaginary banana to performing the Cha Cha slide, have to be BIG! You must have the ability to interact with small children, navigate through large crowds and wear a costume in hot temperatures. Hugh Mongous makes daily on property appearances and occasional off property appearances. Dancing ability necessary but prior mascot experience not required - you need an energetic attitude and the ability to move well in the heat. On the job training provided by a professional mascot! Pre and post season hours are available. |
Receptionist The sound of the telephone ringing at the Waterpark means that we have an opportunity to help answer a question, provide information or even make a sale! Our receptionists are provided with extensive knowledge about the Waterpark so that they can answer incoming calls or quickly identify which department can handle the inquiry. This position requires tactful, patient, friendly individuals who are comfortable on the phone. Office tasks will be completed for several departments by this staff, for example these multi-taskers are also responsible for helping employees clock in and out. Starting their day off with a cheerful greeting and wishing them well at night is part of this human resources role. Good listening skills and a clear speaking voice are required. General knowledge of office equipment: phone, fax, copier, shredder operation a plus. |
